About the Role
Millie's British International School (MBIS) is a prestigious educational establishment committed to laying a solid foundation for every child by implementing the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum. We prepare children for their crucial school years ahead, encouraging them to become confident, successful, and lifelong learners. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our vibrant team in Ibadan.
Key Responsibilities- Support and extend children's learning through high-quality teaching, engaging play-based learning, and nurturing care.
- Teach early mathematics, literacy, and phonics while supporting handwriting development in young learners.
- Utilize creative teaching skills such as music, dance, drama, and arts and crafts to engage students.
- Design and maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments and high-standard classroom displays.
- Manage the classroom effectively, addressing the diverse educational, emotional, and social needs of pupils.
- Uphold strict safeguarding principles and maintain a consistent commitment to child protection and professional conduct.
- Must reside in Ibadan, within reasonable commuting distance of Jericho.
- Possess a B.Ed., B.A., B.Sc., HND, or PGDE in Early Childhood Education or English from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of the British EYFS Curriculum.
- Excellent written, spoken, and reading English language skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications to support modern teaching and learning.
- Demonstrated patience, positive attitude, high energy, and enthusiasm for early childhood development.
