About the Role
Transport Services Limited (TSL), a premier integrated product handling and logistics company operating across Nigeria's Western and Eastern regions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Driver Instructor Manager. In this pivotal role, you will champion our commitment to safety excellence by leading comprehensive training programs and ensuring our drivers adhere to the highest industry standards across the oil and gas, FMCG, mining, and agricultural sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Train new and existing drivers while conducting targeted refresher courses to maintain peak operational standards.
- Assess driver performance through rigorous road tests, on-board monitoring, and shadow monitoring.
- Develop and update engaging driver assessment questions, training materials, and schedules while maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct periodic depot visits and spot checks to promote compliance with safety and operational requirements.
- Educate drivers on critical HSSEQ policies, traffic regulations, and highway codes.
- Identify and implement innovative approaches to driver training, development, and team mentorship.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or a related field/equivalent qualification.
- Mandatory Smith System Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience in an administrative or driver training role.
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of health and safety practices, basic vehicle mechanics, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
