About the Role
Process Piping and Installation Limited (PPI) is a premier engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in food and beverage processing, industrial installations, and structural works. Due to our growing operations in Lagos, we are currently seeking a competent, responsible, and experienced Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This is an immediate vacancy, and the successful candidate must be ready to resume work without delay.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the company's MAN Truck (1999 model) safely and responsibly as the primary assigned vehicle.
- Operate both manual and automatic vehicles with high levels of confidence and safety.
- Transport personnel, industrial materials, equipment, and other designated items efficiently.
- Comply fully with all applicable traffic laws, road signs, and highway safety regulations across Lagos and beyond.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, including tyres, brakes, lights, and engine fluids.
- Report vehicle faults, defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly to management.
- Maintain the cleanliness, security, and proper overall condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Ensure that all loads are properly secured and balanced before commencing any journey.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and vehicle-related records as required by company policy.
- Practice safe and defensive driving techniques at all times to protect company assets and personnel.
- Possess a valid Nigerian Driver's Licence appropriate for commercial and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proven professional driving experience with heavy-duty trucks, specifically the MAN Truck.
- Ability to confidently and smoothly drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Strong working knowledge of Lagos road networks, routes, and traffic management systems.
- Basic understanding of routine vehicle maintenance, mechanical checks, and safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for seamless workplace coordination.
- Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, high personal discipline, and professional integrity.
- Physical fitness capable of handling the demands of transport and logistics operations.
- Residency along or close to the Ikeja axis (including Agege, Oshodi, and surrounding areas) is strictly required.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from ₦160,000 to ₦180,000 based on experience and suitability.
