About the Role
Eye Foundation Hospital, Nigeria's premier specialist eye care institution established in 1993, is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will provide secure, efficient, and timely transportation services for hospital staff, VIP visitors, patients, and essential goods, while maintaining the highest standards of road safety and vehicle upkeep.
Key Responsibilities- Transport staff, management, VIP visitors, consumables, and medical equipment safely and efficiently across designated routes.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, monitor tyre conditions, check oil levels, and arrange minor repairs or routine servicing.
- Handle vehicle documentation, including annual vehicle examinations, license renewals, and timely car insurance updates.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks, monthly mileage records, and delivery receipts for bank transactions and supplier payments.
- Perform administrative support duties such as sorting incoming and outgoing mail, picking up flight tickets, and managing airport pickups.
- Act as a backup for the receptionist by answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling basic front-desk registration tasks.
- Assist with office logistics, including meeting room setups and minor handyman tasks such as small office repairs as needed.
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
- At least 2 years of proven professional experience as a corporate or institutional driver.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record and deep knowledge of local traffic laws.
- Basic technical skills in electrical or mechanical vehicle repairs will be an added advantage.
