About the Role
Genesis Specialist Hospital, home to a leading surgical center in Lagos with state-of-the-art operating rooms, is seeking a professional and safety-conscious Driver to join our dedicated team in Ikeja, Lagos. In this vital full-time, on-site role, you will ensure the timely and secure transportation of medical supplies, equipment, documents, and authorized personnel between hospital units and external locations, directly contributing to our high standards of patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate hospital vehicles, including trucks where applicable, adhering strictly to Nigerian traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport medical supplies, equipment, documents, and authorized personnel promptly between hospital facilities and external partners.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, routine maintenance checks, and promptly report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of all trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of items, ensuring proper handling of sensitive medical equipment and supplies.
- Keep hospital vehicles clean, organized, and fully fueled at all times to guarantee readiness for emergency and routine deployment.
- Interact courteously and professionally with hospital staff, patients, and external partners while strictly maintaining confidentiality and hospital policies.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably within the healthcare, logistics, or corporate sector.
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record and proficiency in operating various vehicles, including trucks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety checks.
- Excellent familiarity with major roads, routes, and traffic patterns in Ikeja, Lagos, and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
