About the Role
Wankai Innovative Materials Limited is a leading manufacturer of high-quality polyethylene terephthalate (PET) materials in Nigeria. We are currently looking for a professional, experienced, and safety-conscious Reach Stacker Container Handler to join our dynamic logistics and supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, stacking, and organization of containers within our facility, ensuring that raw materials and finished products are handled with precision to support our continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a reach stacker container handler to load, unload, stack, and transport containers within the yard.
- Conduct thorough pre-operational and post-operational inspections of the machinery to ensure optimal mechanical condition.
- Adhere strictly to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site traffic management rules at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily container movements, equipment hours, and operational status.
- Coordinate seamlessly with warehouse supervisors, logistics personnel, and transport drivers to expedite turnaround times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or discrepancies immediately to the maintenance department.
- Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as required during downtime or heavy operational periods.
- Valid heavy machinery operator license or certification specifically for operating a Reach Stacker in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience operating a reach stacker in a busy manufacturing, port, or logistics environment.
- Deep understanding of heavy equipment safety protocols, yard management, and weight distribution principles.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and physical fitness required for operating heavy machinery.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings as operational demands require.
