About the Role
Oduduwa University, a fully licensed institution by the National Universities Commission (NUC), is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our dynamic transport team. Located in one of Osun State's most vibrant cities, our institution is committed to excellence in education and operational support. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of staff, students, and official materials, contributing to the seamless daily operations of our campus.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport university staff, students, and authorized visitors to designated destinations.
- Maintain the assigned university vehicle in a clean, roadworthy, and excellent mechanical condition at all times.
- Conduct routine pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking oil, water, battery, brakes, and tire pressure.
- Adhere strictly to Nigerian traffic laws, university policies, and safety protocols while driving.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date logbooks for all trips, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Promptly report any mechanical faults, accidents, or near-misses to the designated transport supervisor.
- Perform minor routine maintenance tasks and ensure timely servicing of the vehicle.
- Possession of a valid and current Nigerian driver license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or equivalent educational qualification.
- Proven professional driving experience, preferably within an educational institution or corporate organization.
- Excellent knowledge of Osun State and major Nigerian inter-state routes.
- Good verbal communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
