About the Role
Prime Atlantic Limited, a wholly Nigerian-owned oil and gas servicing leader established in 2003, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Drilling Project OI Advisor III for an offshore rotation of 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off. In this vital role, you will be the primary SSHE representative for our offshore drilling projects, driving safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering an injury-free work culture in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site SSHE representation for drilling projects, rig moves, and transport operations.
- Develop and implement site orientation programs, emergency management plans, and operational SSHE strategies.
- Monitor contractor and service partner compliance with company drilling safety requirements and operations safety plans.
- Facilitate regular SSHE inspections, audits, and OI system compliance checks while tracking safety performance trends.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, providing actionable recommendations for mitigation and prevention.
- Facilitate drill team safety steering committees and actively participate in daily and weekly safety meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience in a similar safety advisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of drilling operations, industrial processes, and upstream oil and gas safety regulations.
- Proven track record of delivering excellence in SSHE performance within harsh or remote offshore environments.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to positively influence diverse workforces.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and strong technical reporting capabilities.
- Must be medically fit for duty, able to work in demanding offshore conditions, and meet all required offshore survival certifications.
