About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited (UP), Nigeria's premier Payments & Financial Technology company founded in 1997, is looking for a skilled Domestic Switching Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and maintaining critical payment terminal operations and transaction switching services, ensuring high availability and adherence to SLAs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical integration and onboarding of clients and financial institutions onto UP Exchange platforms.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot REST APIs and payment integrations using tools like Postman.
- Analyze transaction data using SQL and PostgreSQL to investigate failed, pending, or reversed transactions.
- Troubleshoot Linux-based applications, infrastructure logs, Docker, and Nginx configurations.
- Take ownership of complex technical incidents, executing root-cause analysis for permanent resolutions.
- Conduct UAT, integration, and regression testing for new services and APIs.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, banks, merchants, and vendors.
- Mentor junior analysts and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and SOPs.
- BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in payment technology, digital banking, or technical application support.
- Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL, Linux environments, Docker, Nginx, and API architectures.
- Strong understanding of payment transaction flows, HTTP/HTTPS, and authentication mechanisms.
