About the Role
Hydrogen Payment Services Company Limited (Hydrogen Pay), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Access Corporation, is building robust payment infrastructure to enable seamless and secure transactions across Africa. We are seeking a dedicated Application Security Analyst to protect the advanced applications powering our card issuance, card management, and transaction processing platforms. In this critical role, you will embed security across the software development lifecycle, perform rigorous testing, support PCI-DSS compliance, and collaborate closely with our engineering and SOC teams to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive SAST, DAST, SCA, manual secure code reviews, and penetration testing across web, API, mobile, and switch integration systems.
- Design and embed security checkpoints directly into development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines to promote shift-left security.
- Support PCI-DSS compliance by driving control validation, evidence collection, remediation tracking, and third-party vendor risk assessments.
- Monitor application-layer security events, investigate transaction anomalies, and participate in incident response alongside the SOC.
- Document vulnerabilities, produce actionable risk reports, and conduct secure coding awareness sessions for software developers.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in application security, penetration testing, or software security engineering, preferably within banking, fintech, or payment switch environments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required or currently in progress.
- Preferred credentials include CEH, OSCP, CSSLP, PCI-DSS, AWS Security Specialty, AZ-500, or progress toward CISSP.
