About the Role
Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited is a leading mining and mineral processing company based in Nigeria, with a core focus on the exploration, extraction, and processing of lithium. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Medical Doctor to join our factory clinic located in Endo, Nasarawa State. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our workforce, managing occupational health cases, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Attend to staff and authorized patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
- Conduct professional medical consultations, physical examinations, accurate diagnoses, and effective treatments.
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical care as required on-site.
- Monitor, manage, and report on occupational health and workplace-related medical cases.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and strictly confidential patient medical records.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and facilitate patient referrals to specialized hospitals when necessary.
- Conduct routine health checks and actively promote preventive healthcare practices among all employees.
- Advise company management on employee health, workplace safety standards, and general medical concerns.
- Ensure the proper inventory management, maintenance, and availability of medical supplies and equipment.
- Prepare periodic medical reports and health statistics for review by management.
- Collaborate closely with the Human Resources and Health, Safety, and Environment departments on staff welfare matters.
- Possession of an MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must hold a valid registration and a current practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with prior experience in industrial or occupational medicine considered a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive and work effectively within a fast-paced factory or industrial environment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and sound clinical decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive during critical medical emergencies.
- Must be resident in or willing to relocate to Endo, Nasarawa State.
