About the Role
NewGlobe is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Schools to lead educational transformation across our Nigerian territory. In this executive role, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of our schools by driving academic excellence, meeting ambitious learning outcome targets, and fostering deep community and parent engagement. You will manage direct reporting lines including Regional Managers, Learning and Development Managers, and Academic Managers, ensuring safe and effective learning environments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee school management metrics, ensuring all schools deliver exceptional learning outcomes and holistic child development.
- Spend 20% of your time in schools conducting structured observations, engaging with teachers, students, parents, and government officials.
- Utilize multi-source data to optimize academic programming, lesson quality, teacher support, and local regulatory compliance.
- Manage budgets, enforce financial discipline, and prevent fraud across the territory's school group.
- Collaborate with the Leadership and Development team to facilitate ongoing professional development and induction training.
- Support community events, examination preparations, and staff transitions while building robust local talent pipelines.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent; Master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Proven executive management and leadership experience, particularly leading field-based teams in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in data-driven decision-making and strategic problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with a bias toward action.
