About the Role
Caleb British International School (CBIS), a prestigious co-educational Day and Boarding Christian institution established under the renowned Caleb Group of Schools, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Works. In this vital leadership role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and expanding our state-of-the-art campus infrastructure to support our growing academic and residential community in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all infrastructure development projects, capital improvements, and comprehensive preventive maintenance programmes across the school campus.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate technical personnel, maintenance staff, and external contractors to ensure high standards of work.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable building, engineering, environmental, and safety regulations in Nigeria.
- Manage facility budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes for maintenance and construction supplies.
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and coordinate effective solutions to minimize disruption to school operations.
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Estate Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional certifications and extensive practical experience in facility management or large-scale construction projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in supervising technical personnel and managing third-party contractors.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and professionalism with a strong sense of responsibility.
