About the Role
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is a leading nonprofit research-for-development organization finding solutions to hunger, malnutrition, and poverty in Africa. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Transformation Manager for our I-Youth 2.0 project, based at our headquarters in Ibadan, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the implementation of a costed Digital Transformation Strategy for I-Youth 2.0 across Nigeria, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
- Design, deploy, and manage a robust digital ecosystem including mobile data collection tools, e-learning platforms, and real-time monitoring dashboards.
- Collaborate with the MEL team to ensure accurate data integration, governance, cybersecurity, and visualization for adaptive management.
- Build capacity by rolling out digital skills initiatives for youth participants, project staff, and implementing partners.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, CGIAR partners, and other ecosystem stakeholders to drive agri-technology adoption.
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Agricultural Economics with an ICT4D focus, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in digital transformation, ICT4D, or MIS systems, including at least 4 years in a senior technical or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in managing digital data collection, monitoring dashboards, and agri-technology tools in low-connectivity environments.
- Strong project management skills with professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2) as an added advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and capacity-building capabilities.
