About the Role
TransitEdge Solutions Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our community receives nutritious, high-quality meals served in a clean and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities- Set up dining areas and tables with strict attention to cleanliness, order, and presentation.
- Prepare meals and food items under the direct supervision of the dietary manager or head cook.
- Deliver food trays and dishes promptly to designated rooms and locations at scheduled times.
- Clear dining areas by collecting used plates, glasses, silverware, and trays.
- Dispose of leftovers properly, manage waste disposal, and maintain a clean garbage area.
- Sanitize food stations thoroughly and wash all dishes, cookware, and utensils.
- Monitor kitchen inventory, stock ingredients, and assist with basic menu planning.
- Help maintain kitchen equipment, appliances, and ensure a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services or culinary arts is a strong advantage.
- Proven professional experience working as a dietary aide or in a similar food service role.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service with a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Solid working knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Aptitude for operating standard kitchen appliances, cookware, and bakeware safely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with residents and staff.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
