About the Role
Payzeep is a leading financial technology platform empowering individuals, SMEs, and organizations to seamlessly make, receive, and process payments, accept deposits, and complete business transactions. We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure that supports our core digital financial products and services, ensuring exceptional uptime and a flawless user experience for our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation workflows.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, focusing on provisioning, scaling, and cost efficiency.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to guarantee platform reliability.
- Enforce security best practices, DevSecOps principles, PCI-DSS compliance, and the CBN Risk-Based Cybersecurity Framework.
- Ensure compliance with data-residency mandates and NDPA-compliant infrastructure configurations.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product, and Security teams to streamline release management across development, staging, and production environments.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for critical platform issues, participating in on-call rotations.
- Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) to enhance system resilience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant DevOps experience, with at least 6 years specifically supporting infrastructure in fintech, banking, or high-volume transaction-processing environments.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a strong advantage.
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows server administration, microservices architecture, and high-availability production environments.
