About the Role
The Nigerian Navy is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled IT Personnel to join our esteemed force. In alignment with our strategic vision to emplace a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated naval force, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the technological infrastructure that supports our operations in Nigeria's maritime environment and the Gulf of Guinea.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot personal computers and hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of organizational databases.
- Support networking fundamentals implementation and maintain reliable internet and intranet connectivity.
- Contribute to website development, content management, and digital platform administration.
- Apply computer-aided design and programming skills to support specialized naval technical projects.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices and maintain data integrity across all systems.
- Minimum of OND Lower Credit in Computer Studies, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must possess SSCE or equivalent with at least 5 Credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Compulsory computer literacy and proficiency in modern IT applications.
- Industrial certifications or proven proficiency in Database management, Computer-Aided Design, PC Maintenance, Networking Fundamentals, Website Development, or Programming will be a distinct advantage.
- Must meet the physical, mental, and medical standards required for service in the Nigerian Navy.
