About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing and FMCG sector, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Despatch Manager to oversee our B2B logistics operations in Lagos. In this critical role, you will be responsible for orchestrating seamless dispatch processes, optimizing vehicle routing, and ensuring the timely delivery of our iconic Golden Penny products to our valued clients and distributors across the nation. You will lead a dedicated team of dispatch professionals, enforce safety standards, and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance our supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch operations to guarantee accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor real-time vehicle movements and optimize routing strategies for maximum efficiency and fuel economy.
- Ensure strict compliance with national transportation regulations, safety protocols, and internal company policies.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate dispatch personnel while fostering a high-performance work culture.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse, supply chain, and logistics teams to streamline order fulfillment.
- Analyze dispatch metrics, prepare performance reports, and drive continuous operational improvements.
- Resolve delivery bottlenecks, transit delays, and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain comprehensive records of dispatch transactions, vehicle logs, and fleet maintenance schedules.
- Minimum of a B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or supply chain operations within FMCG, manufacturing, or transport sectors.
- Mandatory professional certification in Logistics, Transport Management, or Supply Chain.
- Additional certification in Fleet Management or Transport Operations is a strong advantage.
