About the Role
Basscomm Group Limited, a premier Mechanical and Electrical contractor in Nigeria, is seeking a talented and driven Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across various industry sectors, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive engineering designs and prepare precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs), incorporating value engineering principles where necessary.
- Conduct thorough site inspections, evaluate project requirements, and formulate effective technical solutions.
- Prepare, review, and update engineering drawings to align with manufacturing specifications, industry technical standards, and client expectations.
- Review tender documents, perform pricing, and prepare competitive proposals and quotations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Coordinate the compilation, preparation, and packaging of tender and bid submissions with all required supporting documentation.
- Manage Engineering and Commercial Management Information Systems (MIS) alongside related reporting tasks.
- Handle assigned customer accounts, ensure prompt responses to correspondence, and professionally address client inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience in engineering design, BOQ preparation, and tender management within the Nigerian construction or M&E sector.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering design software and technical drawing tools.
- Strong understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products and industry standards.
