About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified manufacturing conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sectional Head, Instrumentation to join our industrial plant operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will direct the maintenance, reliability, and calibration of field instrumentation, control systems, and automated monitoring devices to ensure optimal plant efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of field instrumentation across major plant assets including crushers, vertical mills, and conveyors.
- Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures.
- Manage calibration schedules in alignment with ISO/IMS standards and enforce strict bypass governance.
- Handle SAP work orders, manage operational budgets, and oversee procurement of critical instrumentation spares.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the instrumentation engineering team to maintain a zero-accident safety culture.
- Higher National Diploma (HND), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of total industrial plant experience, with at least 10 years in a modern cement manufacturing environment.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in PLC systems, PCS7 architecture, process control loops, and weighing systems.
