About the Role
Collection Developments is a forward-thinking real estate development and investment firm dedicated to creating vibrant spaces that deliver lasting commercial and social value. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Deputy Project Director to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this strategic role, you will support the Project Director across all project workstreams, deputise in their absence, and play a pivotal part in shaping exceptional residential, commercial, and cultural properties.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Director across all project workstreams and deputise fully in their absence.
- Lead the management and coordination of external consultants, including structural and MEP engineers, planning consultants, and quantity surveyors, ensuring delivery to programme and scope.
- Own and proactively manage the project risk register, reporting status to leadership and clients.
- Coordinate between the Design and Architectural Manager and the Construction Manager to align design packages with construction sequences.
- Manage formal communications, contract notices, and consultant meetings.
- Monitor overall project timelines against milestones, manage statutory approvals, and drive the project close-out process.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management; postgraduate qualifications are a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 14 years of industry experience, with at least 6 years in a senior project management capacity.
- Proven expertise in Design and Build project delivery within the Nigerian market.
- In-depth familiarity with Lagos State planning and building control processes.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies such as NSE, NIOB, NIQS, or NIA.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and multi-workstream coordination skills.
