About the Role
U-Connect Human Resources Limited is recruiting a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in subsea and pipeline systems to drive complex offshore projects in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the structural integrity, safety, and optimal performance of subsea structures, pipeline supports, foundations, and associated marine infrastructure for major oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and review detailed structural calculations, analysis reports, and engineering drawings for offshore applications.
- Support the comprehensive design of subsea foundations, pipeline supports, protection structures, and tie-in assemblies.
- Assess structural strength, stability, fatigue life, and environmental loading conditions under strict industry guidelines.
- Evaluate structural interfaces with subsea production equipment, pipelines, and heavy marine installation systems.
- Review contractor deliverables, fabrication drawings, and material specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide engineering support during installation, constructability reviews, and offshore execution phases.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve structural integrity and design challenges proactively.
- Ensure full adherence to DNV, API, ISO, and project-specific technical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of demonstrable structural engineering experience within the subsea, offshore, or pipeline sectors.
- Proven expertise in structural analysis, steel design, fatigue assessment, and marine engineering codes.
- In-depth knowledge of subsea foundations, pipeline supports, and structural protection systems.
- Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis software and technical reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
