About the Role
Empearl Consulting, an integrated services consulting firm established by Nigerian law, is seeking a high-performing Deputy Managing Director (DMD) for our client in the real estate sector. Acting as second-in-command, the successful candidate will bridge high-level strategic vision with daily operational execution, ensuring portfolio profitability and organizational growth while collaborating closely with the CEO and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day business functions, including construction progress, property management, maintenance, asset protection, and security.
- Partner with the Managing Director to formulate short- and medium-term strategies, identify new market leads, and expand the company footprint.
- Manage budget preparation, fund raising, financial reporting, and expense optimization to guarantee project profitability.
- Lead staff management initiatives, overseeing recruitment, training, departmental mentoring, and fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Represent the organization in high-level meetings with local authorities, communities, unions, and key external partners.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Real Estate Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is a strong advantage).
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in senior management roles such as Deputy Managing Director, Sales & Marketing Director, or Project Director.
- Extensive background spanning real estate, construction, asset management, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, corporate finance, performance measurement, and real estate economics.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, crisis management, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
