About the Role
The Concept Group is seeking a dynamic and analytical Deputy Head of Accounts to join our thriving financial team in Lagos. Key Responsibilities- Supervise the daily operations of the accounts department, including general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist the Head of Accounts in preparing comprehensive financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards.
- Manage internal and external audit processes, implementing recommended financial controls and process improvements.
- Provide strategic financial insights to executive management to support sound business decision-making.
- Mentor, guide, and develop junior accounting staff to foster high performance and professional growth.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant with ICAN, ACA, or equivalent recognized professional certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
- Prior working experience within the financial services sector is strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, tax management, and auditing.
- Advanced proficiency in modern accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
