The Concept Group is expanding its financial leadership team and looking for a dynamic Deputy Head of Account to join our established organization in Lagos. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with executive leadership to oversee financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize accounting processes across our member subsidiaries, contributing significantly to our continued business success in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head of Account in managing all financial operations, general ledger, and accounting functions.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards.
- Manage internal and external audit processes, implementing effective financial controls and risk management strategies.
- Provide strategic financial insights and variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting and finance team.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant with an active ICAN, ACA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Prior working experience within the financial services sector is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
