About the Role
Rosabon Financial Services Limited, a leading financial intermediary and subsidiary of Concept Group Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and analytical Deputy Head of Accounts & Finance to join our Lagos team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and strategic reporting while leading a talented team of accounting professionals in alignment with international best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary leadership to the accounting and finance departments, ensuring prompt completion of all departmental deliverables.
- Supervise the preparation of accurate periodic management accounts, statutory financial reports, and annual audited statements in collaboration with external auditors.
- Oversee annual budget preparation, variance analysis, and the implementation of audit findings to enhance overall financial performance.
- Formulate and execute robust tax management strategies to legally minimize tax liabilities and oversee successful tax audit exercises.
- Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks across the department.
- Mentor, develop, and drive a high-performing team culture focused on professional growth and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 7 years of cognate finance experience, preferably within the financial services or leasing industry.
- Possession of an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and Nigerian tax laws.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
