Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Academics in establishing and executing strategic academic goals and institutional vision.
  • Oversee the comprehensive development, implementation, and regular review of the school curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching quality through classroom observations, offering constructive feedback and professional support.
  • Lead targeted academic staff development, mentoring, and continuous training initiatives.
  • Manage academic assessments, internal and external examinations, and streamline reporting processes to parents.
  • Foster an innovative school culture that promotes critical thinking and sustained academic excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure seamless subject coordination and resource allocation.
  • Support student pastoral care and provide meaningful academic counseling for boarding and day students alike.
  • Ensure full compliance with educational policies, statutory regulations, and school procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related academic discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of cognate teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a recognized academic leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving academic leadership and demonstrably improving student learning outcomes.
  • Thorough and up-to-date understanding of the Nigerian curriculum and contemporary global educational trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to upholding Christian values and institutional ethos.
  • Mandatory registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
