About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a talented and experienced Deputy Engineer for Electrical Maintenance to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will provide robust maintenance support to plant operations, ensuring optimal equipment availability and minimized downtime to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Ensure the trouble-free operation of electrical systems within the assigned plant area.
- Execute maintenance and servicing for Circuit Breakers, Transformers, MCC, PCC, MV and LV Switchboards, Battery Chargers, and HT/LT Motors.
- Manage spare parts inventory to guarantee smooth, uninterrupted plant operations.
- Allocate daily tasks and provide technical guidance and training to subordinate team members.
- Ensure strict compliance with occupational safety measures and maintain high standards of workplace housekeeping.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including power reports, maintenance checklists, and daily job execution logs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Low, Medium, and High Voltage systems, HT/LT Motors, Transformers, and sub-station equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance management methods, CMMS, predictive inspection tools, and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and safety legislation.
