About the Role
The Dangote Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Deputy Engineer for Electrical Maintenance to join our dynamic operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will provide robust maintenance support to plant operations, ensuring the steady and optimal availability of electrical equipment to meet demanding production targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment with optimum quality and safety.
- Execute maintenance and servicing of circuit breakers, transformers, MCC, PCC, MV & LV switchboards, battery chargers, plant lighting, earthing systems, HT/LT motors, VFDs, and AC systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure smooth, uninterrupted plant operations.
- Allocate daily jobs and provide hands-on technical guidance to subordinates.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety measures, environmental policies, and proper workplace housekeeping.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation, including power reports, maintenance checklists, and daily job reports.
- Impart targeted technical training to subordinates to build team capability.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Expert knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage systems, HT/LT motors, transformers, and substation equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and CMMS.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, safety legislation, ISO 9000 standards, and TPM.
