About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy Engineer - Electrical Maintenance to join our dynamic operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will provide robust maintenance support, minimize equipment downtime, and guarantee optimal electrical availability to meet our ambitious production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment ensuring top quality and safety standards.
- Ensure the trouble-free operation of electrical systems within your assigned plant area.
- Manage spare parts inventory effectively to facilitate seamless plant operations.
- Allocate daily tasks and provide technical guidance and training to subordinate staff.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and maintain high standards of workplace housekeeping.
- Execute maintenance and servicing on Circuit Breakers, Transformers, MCC, PCC, MV & LV Switch Boards, Battery Chargers, Plant Lighting, Earthling Systems, HT/LT Motors, VFDs, and Air Conditioning Systems.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation, including power reports and maintenance checklists.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification relevant experience in an industrial setting.
- Extensive knowledge of Low, Medium, and High Voltage systems, industrial automation, and CMMS.
- Familiarity with cement manufacturing processes, ISO 9000 standards, and TPM methodologies.
