Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Director of Nursing Sciences will oversee nursing services, ensure compliance with clinical standards, and mentor nursing staff. Key duties include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all nursing units and personnel within the hospital.
  • Collaborating with hospital management to develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and patient care standards.
  • Monitoring clinical practice to ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements set by health authorities.

Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.Sc. Nursing / B.N.Sc.) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification cognate clinical and administrative nursing experience.
  • Valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in utilizing modern hospital management software.
  • Exceptional leadership, integrity, and interpersonal skills suitable for a dynamic academic medical center.
