We are currently seeking a visionary and experienced Deputy Director of Nursing Sciences to drive clinical excellence and provide strategic leadership across our nursing department within our multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Deputy Director of Nursing Sciences will oversee nursing services, ensure compliance with clinical standards, and mentor nursing staff. Key duties include:
- Providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all nursing units and personnel within the hospital.
- Collaborating with hospital management to develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and patient care standards.
- Monitoring clinical practice to ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements set by health authorities.
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning, evidence-based practice, and professional development among nursing staff.
- Participating in multidisciplinary committees to enhance hospital-wide patient safety, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.Sc. Nursing / B.N.Sc.) degree from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification cognate clinical and administrative nursing experience.
- Valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in utilizing modern hospital management software.
- Exceptional leadership, integrity, and interpersonal skills suitable for a dynamic academic medical center.
