About the Role

As Depot Stock Keeper, you will oversee all inventory operations at our Kano depot, ensuring precise stock management, regulatory compliance, and optimal warehouse efficiency. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and expertise in pharmaceutical inventory control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and verify all products against delivery notes, inspecting for quantity, batch numbers, expiry dates, and packaging condition
  • Maintain accurate physical and system stock records using ERP systems for all inventory movements
  • Apply FIFO and FEFO principles to minimize expiry losses and optimize stock rotation
  • Conduct daily monitoring and regular physical stock counts with monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations
  • Monitor product expiry dates and prepare Near-Expiry Stock Reports for management action
  • Identify, segregate, and properly document damaged, expired, or recalled products
  • Issue products only against authorized documentation and maintain complete transaction records
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and report variances to supervisors promptly
  • Ensure depot organization, cleanliness, security, and compliance with pharmaceutical storage standards
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports as required
  • Support internal and external audits and inventory verification exercises

Qualifications
  • B.Sc., HND, or OND in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in stock keeping, warehouse operations, or inventory control
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors highly desirable
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Tally ERP, Sage) is advantageous
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO principles and pharmaceutical storage requirements
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Must reside in Kano and be willing to support other depots as needed
  • Age 25–40 years preferred; physically fit for warehouse activities
