About the Role

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Depot Inventory Officer to join our team at Dangote Cement Plc in Lagos. In this vital role, you will oversee daily inventory operations within the depot, ensuring absolute accuracy, strict compliance with operational guidelines, and optimal stock levels to support our extensive distribution network.
Key Responsibilities- Manage operational and administrative issues promptly and professionally while mitigating foreseeable financial losses and risks.
- Build and maintain effective business synergy between depots and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Transport, Plant, and Head Office Support Units.
- Ensure depots are adequately and appropriately stocked by acting as an effective intermediary between standard operating procedures and the sales team.
- Prevent any incidence of out-of-stock scenarios while carefully avoiding overstocking.
- Oversee accurate inventory management and coordinate with logistics and sales teams to guarantee product availability and efficient movement.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily and monthly inventory reports to management, maintaining meticulous record-keeping processes.
- Ensure full compliance with depot operational guidelines and safety standards, conducting regular stock assessments and reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in inventory management or a closely related supply chain role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer applications, with advanced capability in Microsoft Excel.
