About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and thorough Depot Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial transactions, inventory movements, and internal controls at our depot located in Suleja, Niger State, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and Nigerian financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete accounting records for all depot transactions in compliance with company policies and financial standards.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory movements including stock receipts, transfers, sales, returns, and adjustments.
  • Perform timely reconciliation of bank accounts, customer accounts, and general ledger balances.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and management accounts.
  • Monitor customer receivables and collaborate with the sales team to follow up on overdue balances.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory tax requirements including VAT, Withholding Tax, and e-invoicing.
  • Manage depot expenses to ensure proper authorization and adherence to approved budgets.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules, documentation, and prompt responses to queries.
  • Maintain effective internal controls over cash, inventory, and receivables, promptly investigating any discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution sector.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, or Sage.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws, inventory accounting, and internal control frameworks.
  • Mandatory requirement: Candidate must reside in Suleja, Niger State.
