About the Role
Sika Manufacturing Nigeria Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of the worldwide Sika Group established in Lagos in 2014, is seeking a results-driven Demand Planner to join our dynamic operations team. Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing accurate demand forecasts, aligning operational goals, and optimizing inventory levels to support our expanding manufacturing, research, and sales activities across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts for all product lines and categories.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, customer patterns, and commercial pipelines to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance to integrate market intelligence into business plans.
- Lead and support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process with detailed demand projections and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Logistics to translate demand forecasts into efficient supply and inventory strategies.
- Monitor stock levels proactively to minimize stock-outs, reduce slow-moving inventory, and prevent obsolescence.
- Maintain pristine planning data within ERP systems and drive continuous improvement in supply chain methodologies.
- BSc or HND in Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain within the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, alongside advanced MS Office skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional quantitative, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of forecasting models, inventory control, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
