About the Role

Lafiya Nigeria is a fast-growing global health non-profit organisation empowering women by expanding access to contraception in far-to-reach communities. As we transition to a national-scale organisation, we are seeking a technically-driven Data & Research Analyst to lead the quantitative backbone of our Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning department. You will turn our routine programme data and formal research into defensible evidence to influence national policy and secure government adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own ongoing quantitative analysis of routine programme counselling data using SurveyCTO, DHIS2, and NHLMIS.
  • Reconcile data discrepancies across systems and ensure high data quality and reliability.
  • Produce regular trend, cohort, and continuation-rate analyses to inform near-term strategic decisions.
  • Design sampling strategies and lead advanced statistical evaluations, including Difference-in-Differences (DiD) models.
  • Translate statistical findings into publication-ready evidence for academic partners and major donors like the Gates Foundation.
  • Contribute technical expertise to stakeholder discussions with Federal-level health partners and leaders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Mandatory experience writing code for data cleaning and analysis using R, Python, or Stata.
  • Proven experience designing sampling strategies for rigorous impact evaluations.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets for advanced analysis.
  • Familiarity with SurveyCTO, Open Data Kit, and routine Management Information Systems like DHIS2.
  • Professional fluency in English; proficiency in Hausa is considered a valuable asset.
