About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Quality Assistant to join our remote team in Nigeria. In this role, you will perform routine tasks related to data accuracy, validation, and consistency, ensuring our datasets meet the highest standards to support reliable reporting and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Reviews, validates, and cleans datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Monitors and enforces data quality standards across various digital health data sources.
- Identifies and resolves data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies efficiently.
- Supports the development of data dictionaries and maintains thorough documentation of data sources.
- Collaborates with analysts and developers to ensure datasets are optimized for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Conducts regular audits of organizational data to detect and correct errors proactively.
- Assists in the implementation of data quality improvement initiatives across projects.
- Prepares comprehensive summary reports on data quality trends and identified issues.
- Supports end-users with seamless data extraction and preparation for analytical use.
- Ensures strict compliance with data governance and privacy policies.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related fields.
- At least three (3) years of proven experience in data quality, data analysis, or data management.
- Proficiency in data cleaning tools and methods, including advanced Excel, SQL, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy policies, and data quality frameworks.
- High attention to detail, exceptional accuracy, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
