About the Role

The British Council is seeking a talented and detail-oriented E&E FP&A CoE Insights Senior Analyst to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering accurate financial data preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis to support global cultural relations initiatives. You will work within our established Centre of Expertise (CoE) to ensure robust financial data integrity, enabling our Business Decision Support (BDS) teams to make informed, impactful decisions that drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations across SAP, Anaplan, and market datasets to ensure absolute data accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare standardized financial data packs, extracts, and variance analyses, highlighting key trends and anomalies for leadership.
  • Execute standardized financial processes and data governance standards while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with BDS teams to align financial data inputs with business-facing outputs, resolving any system discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, version control, and structured data repositories to support multi-market reporting cycles.
Qualifications
  • Significant professional experience in financial data analysis, FP&A, management accounting, or a similar finance function.
  • Proven expertise in completing complex reconciliations and supporting rigorous monthly reporting cycles.
  • Advanced proficiency in EPM platforms such as Anaplan and enterprise resource planning software like SAP.
  • Strong technical capabilities in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics tools including Power BI and advanced data modeling.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a matrixed international environment.
