About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited is Nigeria’s premier Payments and Financial Technology company operating as a shared infrastructure for the banking community. We are looking for an experienced Data Center Administrator to ensure maximum data availability, reliability, and security across our platforms while supporting our mission to be Africa's most preferred e-payment service provider.
Key Responsibilities- Design stable, reliable, and effective databases utilizing Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to improve applications and establish robust industry best practices.
- Perform comprehensive database query reviews and implement proper indexing to optimize system performance.
- Prepare ETL scripts and execute seamless data migration across various database environments.
- Conduct daily database backups, data recovery, restoration, and data replication procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database usage issues, performance bottlenecks, and system malfunctions promptly.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven professional work experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
- Relevant professional certifications in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or MySQL will be a distinct advantage.
