About the Role

Malaria Consortium Nigeria is dedicated to reducing the burden of malaria through impactful public health interventions, research, and capacity building. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) department. In this vital role, you will lead quantitative and qualitative data analysis across our national portfolio, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for disease control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rigorous statistical analysis (qualitative and quantitative) for research, surveys, evaluations, and routine project data.
  • Design, build, and maintain electronic data collection tools and platforms such as KoboToolbox and SurveyCTO.
  • Develop, automate, and manage portfolio-level dashboards using tools like Power BI and DHIS2 to track performance indicators.
  • Support data cleaning, validation, and quality control processes, ensuring reproducible analysis scripts in Stata, R, or Python.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, learning briefs, conference abstracts, and donor reports.
  • Mentor junior staff and build internal capacity in data management, statistics, and analysis.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Public Health (Epidemiology/Biostatistics), Demography, or a related field.
  • Extensive professional experience in statistical analysis and data management within international organizations or research institutions.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as Stata, R, Python, Excel, and Nvivo.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronic data capture platforms (KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO) and data visualization tools (Power BI, DHIS2).
  • Strong understanding of public health monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills with a high commitment to data integrity.
