About the Role
DP World is seeking a dedicated and experienced Customer Service and Operations Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in making global trade flow better by managing, monitoring, and controlling shipments from start to finish. You will act as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring seamless end-to-end supply chain execution, adherence to local legislation, and exceptional service delivery that drives client retention and brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end shipment lifecycles, from file opening, rate establishment, and pre-alert quality control to final delivery within stipulated timeframes.
- Handle operational finance tasks, including accurate accrual captures, timely client invoicing, and closeout tracking.
- Engage proactively with clients, providing continuous updates, resolving queries promptly, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with company regulations, Global SOPs, and local customs legislation in coordination with the customs team and revenue authorities.
- Monitor cargo arrivals, facilitate rapid document handovers, and minimize client escalations through proactive problem-solving.
- Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Customs Clearance and Freight Forwarding.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in Import/Export Freight Forwarding and Clearing operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and freight forwarding systems.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
