About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy offers first-class education from Preschool to Primary levels, utilizing a blended Nigeria-Montessori and Nigeria-British curriculum. We are seeking a passionate and creative Cultural and Creative Art Teacher to inspire our young learners and nurture their artistic abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver engaging weekly lessons covering Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Cultural Studies.
- Develop comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with the school academic calendar.
- Identify and nurture pupils' artistic, musical, and dramatic talents early, providing tailored encouragement.
- Design, administer, and grade weekly practical projects, classwork, quizzes, and formal examinations.
- Manage art supplies, musical instruments, and drama props responsibly while maintaining a safe classroom environment.
- Organize student art displays, stage plays, and cultural performances for major school events and exhibitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate actively in Parent-Teacher Conferences and staff meetings.
- Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of relevant teaching experience in a structured school environment.
- Strong classroom management and formal academic planning skills.
- Proficiency in both theoretical and practical aspects of visual and performing arts.
