About the Role
Olive Grove College is a premier, co-educational Christian secondary institution situated in Ugwuomu Nike, Enugu, Nigeria, established to bridge the gap between advanced academic scholarship and comprehensive spiritual development. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding students through foundational biblical teachings, moral instruction, and ethical development while delivering engaging lessons that inspire both intellectual and spiritual growth within a supportive Christian environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and structured Christian Religious Studies lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and spiritually enriching classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive and respectful learning atmosphere for all students.
- Participate in school activities, chapel services, extracurricular programs, and staff meetings as required by the administration.
- Counsel and mentor students, providing moral guidance aligned with the core Christian values of the institution.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Christian Religious Studies, Education, Theology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of active teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with adolescents.
- Strong classroom management capabilities and a proven track record of maintaining discipline and engagement.
