About the Role
Nairapoint Finance Limited is a licensed digital financial technology platform in Nigeria focused on ethical lending, investment products, and retail wealth management. Officially launched in December 2025 in Ikoyi, Lagos, we were established to deepen financial inclusion for individuals and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). We are currently looking for a sharp, analytical Credit Risk Officer to join our dynamic risk management team in Lagos and serve as the vital gatekeeper of our growing loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze detailed loan applications from individual retail borrowers and business clients to accurately determine risk exposure levels.
- Examine financial statements, bank statements, cash flow projections, and credit bureau reports to rigorously verify borrower information and creditworthiness.
- Provide professional, well-reasoned recommendations to approve or decline loan requests based strictly on company credit policies and risk appetite.
- Monitor the active loan portfolio continuously to spot early warning signs of potential non-payment, delinquency, or default.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports tracking loan portfolio performance, collection rates, and overall account statuses for management.
- Possession of a University degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven professional experience as a Credit Analyst or Credit Risk Officer within a fintech company, microfinance bank, or commercial bank.
- Strong, demonstrable proficiency in financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, cash flow modeling, and comprehensive risk assessment.
