About the Role

Racham Humanitarian Academy, an educational and youth empowerment initiative run by the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF), is seeking a dedicated and passionate Creative & Cultural Arts Teacher to join our vibrant team in Abuja. Operating alongside esteemed international partners like World Challenge, our academy is committed to providing free basic education, digital literacy, and practical vocational programs to orphans and vulnerable children in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in nurturing students' creative talents, fostering cultural appreciation, and building their self-confidence through engaging arts education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive, engaging Creative and Cultural Arts curriculum tailored to the needs of orphans and vulnerable children.
  • Plan and facilitate interactive lessons covering visual arts, drama, music, and Nigerian cultural heritage.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment that promotes self-expression and emotional well-being.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their individual creative development.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and international partners to integrate arts programming with broader youth empowerment initiatives.
  • Organize school exhibitions, cultural showcases, and community performances to display student achievements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or a related discipline in Fine Arts, Creative Arts, or Education.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching creative arts, preferably within a school, community center, or humanitarian setting.
  • Exceptional fluency in the English language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep passion for youth empowerment, community development, and humanitarian educational initiatives.
  • High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.
