About the Role
Lantern of Knowledge International Schools (LKIS) is a prestigious institution dedicated to providing qualitative education across our daycare, creche, nursery, primary, and high school sections. We are currently seeking a dynamic, talented, and dedicated Creative Arts and Music Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping students' appreciation for the arts, helping them discover and develop their creative potentials in music, visual arts, and cultural expression within a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Creative Arts and Music lessons tailored to various age groups from early childhood to high school.
- Develop comprehensive curricula and lesson plans that cover music theory, practical instruments, vocal training, and various forms of creative and visual arts.
- Organize and direct school choir, band, drama productions, art exhibitions, and cultural events.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement and creativity.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and self-expression.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school administration to integrate arts into broader school activities.
- Minimum of an NCE (National Certificate in Education) or ND (National Diploma) in Music, Fine Arts, Creative Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Proven passion for teaching children and young adults with strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to play at least one musical instrument and demonstrate proficiency in various art techniques is a strong advantage.
