About the Role
SPIE Oil & Gas Services is looking for a dedicated Crane and Lifting Equipment Specialist to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide expert technical and economic leadership in the inspection, maintenance, and reliability of cranes and lifting equipment across our offshore assets, ensuring strict compliance with international safety standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement preventative maintenance, inspection, and testing procedures for AKPO and EGINA cranes and lifting equipment.
- Coordinate fleet-wide planned maintenance activities with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and manage specialized vendor contracts.
- Lead investigations for all crane-related incidents and interface with the inspection department to guarantee asset integrity.
- Supervise major 5-year overhauls on all deepwater installation cranes and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and spare parts in SAP.
- Provide technical support and specification development for new cranes, upgrades, and heavy lift operations.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2.1) degree.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in offshore cranes, hydraulic power transmission, and control systems.
- Extensive background in heavy machinery maintenance, fault finding, equipment procurement, and project execution.
- Strong proficiency in SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and organizational skills with fluency in English.
