About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Country Controller to lead the financial operations and compliance frameworks for our thriving Nigeria business. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with local management and regional finance teams to drive operational excellence, uphold rigorous financial governance, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ensuring full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Nigerian statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
- Managing local tax compliance including VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, corporate income tax, and other regulatory obligations.
- Maintaining and strengthening internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
- Acting as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Partnering with business leaders to provide actionable financial insights and support strategic growth.
- Leading, developing, and mentoring the local finance team to foster professional growth and high performance.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- A recognized professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Significant progressive experience in financial control, accounting, or finance leadership within a multinational environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian statutory reporting, and local tax laws.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing external audits, compliance activities, and financial governance.
- Proficiency in financial systems and enterprise resource planning platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
