About the Role
Scruples Resources, a premier provider of consultancy, resource development, and human resource solutions in Nigeria, is seeking a talented and experienced Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer / Specialist III for a senior-level position. In this vital role, you will lead cost estimate preparation, scheduling, and quality assurance reviews for company-operated and partner-operated projects across all gate and funding milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and coordinate cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight, and rigorous quality assurance reviews for Gate and Funding milestones.
- Prepare independent check estimates and schedules to compare effectively against Other Builder Operator projects.
- Participate actively in project cost and schedule base assessments, verification, and process efficiency tool improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive change control systems, accurate cost reports, and collaborate closely with project estimators, planners, and schedulers.
- Coordinate and assemble detailed monthly progress reports while working alongside client accounting staff and project managers.
- Ensure full compliance with regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- 8 to 15 years of progressive experience in cost engineering, project planning, and project controls within a related industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and comprehensive Project Controls.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities with the capacity to manage cross-functional activities.
