Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems, processes, documentation, and records for effective organizational cost management.
- Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment utilization, and operational activities to compile and evaluate comprehensive cost information.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain data on operational costs, manage the expenses database, and report accurately on actual profit margins.
- Perform comprehensive month-end and year-end closing activities while preparing reliable periodic cost forecasts and financial reports.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and generate regular reports comparing standard costs against actual production costs to identify variances and drivers.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions and process improvements to reduce expenses and maximize overall business profitability.
- Analyze changes in manufacturing processes and assess their direct impact on production costs and financial performance.
- Develop accurate cost standards for manufactured paint products and provide product sample costing to support Marketing and Sales.
- Monitor and report on factors affecting product pricing and profitability, offering valuable financial insights to executive management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in cost accounting and financial analysis within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen eye for operational detail.
